Something Old, Something New

Detailed Supply List:

Fiskars Paper trimmer *make sure that your trimmer has a flip out ruler and is not the guillotine type. You must also be able to see the numbers on the slider*

Micron .05 or Zig Writer Black Fine Tip Marker
EK Success Precision Scissors
Scotch Glue Stick
Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive
Colorbox Black Fluid Chalk Ink Pad
Colorbox Brown Fluid Chalk Ink Pad
Colorbox French Blue Fluid Chalk Ink Pad
Paper Piercer
Small Hole Punch or Crop-a-dile
Sponge Brush
Wipes (a small travel pack will do)

We are going to experiment with 4 different challenges in this class and in the process complete four 12x12, one-page layouts! There will be one layout for each season of the year (winter, spring, summer and fall) using the following challenges:

  1. Use an old product with a new technique
  2. Use a new product with an old technique
  3. Scraplift. Here is the layout that we will be doing for the scraplift.

4. And last but not least, use blue color medium.

This class is messy and you are guaranteed to get ink on your fingers. The kit is also amazing! You are not going to believe how much cool stuff you are going to get. Can't wait to see you there!

  • All papers are cut to size to help the class go smoother but you can bring a paper trimmer if you would like.

  • Bo-Bunny, Rhonna Farrer, DCVW and Bazzill Papers, Bo-Bunny die-cuts, American Crafts Alphas, Doodlebug & Imaginesce flowers and more are used in this class.

  • Other ink pads besides the colorbox can be used. The blue is a light blue.

  • We will be doing a lot of cutting and piecing in this class. Some of the techniques used are inking, tearing, pockets, doodleling, hidden journaling, etc.

  • Fancy Pants papers and die-cuts were used in this album.

  • Make sure that your exacto knife is extremely sharp, in fact, I recommend that you purchase and install a new blade before coming to class.

  • The sanding block will be used but is not necessary to complete the album.
